The transportation code, different code of the state law requires we do a separate public hearing for Mass Transit. Tomorrow there'll be a mass transit meeting as well to approve the Sun Metro Mass Transit budget. Okay. Good afternoon. This is a special meeting of that the Mass Transit Department Board. Present is Board Chair Johnson and Board Members Chavez, Acevedo, Rocha, Nino, Fierro, Limon, and Canales. It is 1222 p.m. If we may go to item number two, this is a public hearing on the proposed budget for the fiscal year. FY27, Mass Transit Department of the City of Al Paso, San Metro, filed by the city manager with the city clerk on July 17, 2026, which begins on September 1st, 2026 and ends on August 31st, 2027. So this item is um again required by the transportation code. So we have as posted as backup. This is an opportunity. Is there anyone that would like to come forward to speak on the proposed budget for the Mass Transit Department of the City of El Paso Sun Metro? No one has signed up to speak, and I don't see anyone else coming forward. Okay, Ms. Bryan, don't we have to take the consent agenda item too? The consent agenda was to request to excuse any absent members, which there are none. Okay. Is there a motion to close the public hearing? Motion closed. Second. There's Representative Canalis. Just uh I I didn't notice was uh Rep Bar Trehill present at the start of the meeting. Oh she you're right, she is she's not present for that. I do think we need to uh excuse her absence if she's absent for the we can I think we can do item one after we do item two in case there is a motion by board member Nino, seconded by board member Limon, and this is to close the public hearing at 1223 p.m. and postpone the final vote on the budget until August 18th, 2026. On that motion, call for the vote. Thank you, Board Member Ferro. And the voting session, and that motion passes unanimously. Now is there a motion to approve the consent agenda to excuse board member Trejo from the Mass Transit Board meeting? So moved. Second. There is a motion made by board member canales. Seconded by board member Limon, and this is to approve the consent agenda to excuse board member Trejo from the meeting on that motion. Call for the vote. And the voting session and that motion passes unanimously. Is there a motion to adjourn the mass transit department board meeting? So moved. Second.
