15:09

Is there any other business that the board wishes to consider or any public comment today?

15:15

Sir?

15:17

Come to the mic, please, and state your name for us.

15:24

My name's Walter Branson.

15:26

I'm from JNIA.

15:28

We submitted for the 26th budget in September last year.

15:37

And then the budget was approved October 6th.

15:43

And there's a mention in the October 6th that the September 6th submission was included by reference there too.

15:52

I'm here for a couple of small issues.

15:55

I talked to Robert, he told me to come in and bring it to your attention.

16:04

We had approved for uh four picnic tables to be added to the park, and we got two uh right away that um were put in because they could do it before the 26th budget.

16:17

And then there was also a drinking fountain approved for the park, and at that time uh I was told that you had one in stock that was gonna be put into this particular park uh because the likelihood of some submissions would not get approved during the during the financial time.

16:41

And then uh nothing's I've never heard anything back.

16:46

Don't know what's happening.

16:49

Uh I think I think if if that's still available, it should be put in the park now, and then for uh move ahead with uh getting it hooked up to the street, and apparently that's Maryland Street is uh what I was told would be the more likely uh location for it.

17:08

Okay.

17:10

And then the last uh issue is in uh September uh submission.

17:15

There was uh talk of uh dumpsters adding dumpsters to the area, and for some time we thought we could get uh somebody to pay for the dumpsters other than the parks and recreation, but that person's had surgery is unlikely to rem return to work.

17:34

Okay, can you explain?

17:35

So we wanted one dumpster on Maryland Street, uh which is on the south side of the park, uh down the block to the west where there's vacant land and it would be available for use, and there's brush accumulating and uh just dumped around in the area this time of the year, spring cleaning and so forth.

17:56

So those are the main reasons I'm here today.

18:01

You have questions or concerns?

18:04

I think we're gonna have to research this and get back with you.

18:07

Uh is that I just put that under items to follow up.

18:10

Is that uh yes, you can.

18:12

Uh my phone number is 41471270, and and my uh email is uh F O Ranson B-R-A-N-S-O-N at Yahoo.com.

18:30

Appreciate you bringing those to our attention, and again, maybe after the meeting we can make sure we got the phone number and stuff exactly right.

18:37

Okay.

18:37

Uh there's one other thing.

18:39

Um we received a number of uh trees as part of something with um make Evansville better or something.

18:48

Uh the one tree that I think was omitted was a red bud tree, and I think it should be included um uh by preference.

18:59

It has uh gorgeous spring flowers in the spring, and would it be an good addition anywhere it's planted in any of the parks or downtown?

19:09

Okay.

19:10

Well, thank you for bringing that to our attention.

19:13

You're welcome.

19:14

Is there any other public comment uh today?

19:17

Yeah.

19:19

All right.

19:21

Uh the reports there were dates that uh Danielle sent out.

19:24

Do you want to go over those?

19:25

Are we good with the email?

19:31

So really quickly here, uh lots of exciting things coming up in the parks.

19:35

Um this afternoon we have another sign dedication as well as a so sign unveiling as well as a pavilion dedication at Van Park.

19:45

That's to begin today at 530.

19:48

Um we will have another sign dedication at Caldwell Park, which is on Tuesday the 28th at 2 p.m.

19:55

And again, these details are in your um email for board.

20:00

We also uh wanted to bring to the attention of residents and board members about the tree giveaway at Wesselman's um through a collaboration with Keep Evansville Beautiful, Wesselman Woods, and um the City Arborist and the Department of Urban Forestry.

20:16

So that will be happening on Friday.

20:18

I believe the time was 10 30 to 1 30 on that, and then our first park chat is coming up on May the 1st.

20:26

That's going to be at Bellmead Park at 6 p.m.

20:30

Um and that is to discuss um the future of Bellmead Park and just get resident feedback.

20:36

Okay.

20:37

And what time is that one?

20:38

Uh the park chat at Bellmead, it's gonna be at the Boys and Girls Club and it is at 6 p.m.

20:43

on May the 1st.

20:46

Thank you.

20:47

Thank you.

20:48

You're so welcome.

20:49

All right.

20:50

Uh there are no other reports other than those important dates.

20:54

Uh I will entertain a motion for acceptance of payroll and vendor claims.

20:59

So moved.

21:00

Second.

21:01

Motion is second.

21:01

All in favor say aye.

21:03

Aye.

21:03

Opposed?

21:04

Motion carries.

21:05

We are adjourned.

21:07

Thank you.
