So that's not that's I just a real quick quick question.

So on the river patrol, does that then uh extend over into the Pigeon Creek area or not?

1:53

Well, as far as the the jurisdiction for patrol, uh the waterways have kind of a joint jurisdiction between all of the parties that uh but the uh the waterways.

2:04

Okay.

2:04

Uh what this interlocal agreement specifically references is the river patrol boat, uh, who's responsible for storage and titles and license and all that stuff.

2:16

So it it divies up where who covers what expenses for the river patrol between the county and the city.

2:22

And just to confirm, is this like the the first river patrol boat that the city and uh sheriff's office have kind of jointly?

2:30

Uh it is it's the first one in in my history with the police department.

2:36

I don't know if if we go back 30, 40 years if there was one, but this is this is the first one in recent history.

    • Removal of a handicap parking space at 200 W. Louisiana Street at the new homeowner’s request.

Departmental Reports

  • Police Department (Capt. John McQuay): Approved the interlocal cooperative agreement for the joint river patrol between the Evansville Police Department and Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office. The agreement clarifies responsibilities, storage, titles, licenses, and expense-sharing. It is the first joint river patrol boat in recent history. The county attorney has signed off.
  • Fire Department (Deputy Chief Kim Garrett):
    • Approved permission to advertise bids for an emergency boat (IFB-011-03-2026) and a Class 3 heavy-duty regular cab 4x4 pickup truck (IFB-011-04-2026).
    • Approved acceptance of donations, including Polaris UTVs: one two-seater EMS from the Evansville Firefighters Foundation and two (one EMS, one four-seater fire) from Deaconess sponsorship. Note: The transcript also mentions a donation of gas meters from the foundation, but the agenda lists only the UTVs; there is a discrepancy.
    • Approved a contract with Dayville On-Site Service for preventative maintenance and inspections on the department’s 11 ambulances. Deputy Chief Jared Brown noted Dayville is an emergency vehicle technician certified company, currently servicing Warrick County Ambulance Service, and is the warranty technician for the ambulance manufacturer. • Approved the second airport transportation agreement as executed by the airport.

  • The meeting was adjourned unanimously.
