Uh first item on the agenda.

This has been out there for a little while.

Uh we tabled it in July, and to some extent, uh, we lost track of it.

And we heard back from uh the Buckley and um I put it on the agenda.

We also got a uh letter uh or an opinion rather from the uh city solicitor.

Have we shared that?

I don't think I've seen that.

I thought we sent it to everyone.

I know you and Phil had it, but I think we were waiting to hear back from the solicitor.

Sorry, but we did hear back from her, right?

Uh just last night, I believe.

Let me say if I I can forward it to everyone.

Uh uh, yeah, everybody can look at it.

So um it to be honest with you, I don't I didn't learn a whole lot from it.

Um it does seem like that we probably have to um make some decision.

Was the question whether we have a say or whether it was just up to the mayor?

Yes, that well, no, well, yes, and no.

So there was the there were I think essentially two questions named is it the mayor of the city council decision in the second one was what you just said.

Do we have to approve the rents as required requested?

By the way, we've only allowed three percent.

But Mr.

Um the gentleman from the buckley's name is escaping me for a moment who did call me today, and I did not get a chance to speak with him.

He um he feels that we have to either go with their rents, or not accept any increase at all.

I think his position would be that go away.

We're breaking up a lot from the sound.

My ear pods are here and they keep going back and forth.

I don't know if it's screwing up my voice too.

But anyways, I don't think that's his opinion.

Well, that's the city solicitor's opinion.

Uh I wasn't that clear about that.

That's why I want everybody to get to get it, because uh she didn't really say.

So maybe we should talk about it at our next meeting.

Well, that was my that was my idea, but I wanted to put it on the agenda.

Um, anyways, and I think I did the only thing that was new that I saw in there.

This is the April 10th letter that's on the agenda, but there was another letter recently.

Do you know the date of that letter, Mary?

I know you're not in the office, but do you have any idea?

Well, anyways, she's gonna try to find out what the date is.

But there did seem to be something like that.

We have to act within 30 days.

If we don't, then they can send us a reminder letter.

This is the first time I've heard anything like this.
