Malik also wanted to engage the agricultural committee, the bicycle/pedestrian/sidewalk committee, and parks and recreation. Ward supported Malik's tree-planting and tree setback work in South Framingham as a way to address heat islands; Malik mentioned a Nobscot property discussion about trees and open space. Malik added that Keep Framingham Beautiful had requested a shopping cart ordinance, that no such ordinance currently exists, and that some municipalities have enacted ordinances requiring businesses to manage their carts, so the committee may revisit it.

Present is myself, Leora Malik, Mary Kate Counselor Mary Kate Feeney, Counselor Brandon Ward. Um item first up on the agenda is we do have some members in the public. I don't know if well, I guess we should reorganize first. Technically, we actually don't even have public participation on our agenda, even as written, but um let's let's live a little, see if anyone wants to talk. Yeah. All right. Um anybody raise your virtual hand if you want to say anything for those who are attending. All right. It looks like that's a no. Um so reorganization with that. I would take, I would open the floor for nominations for chair. I would nominate counselor Malik. Is there second? I'll second. I was gonna say I can second if I'm allowed to second. Um but thank you. So um I would accept that. Are there other nominations for chair? Okay, with that, I'll close nominations. Um we can vote unless there's any discussion. No discussion. All right, Brandon, Counselor Ward. Yes. Counselor Feeney? Yes. Counselor Malik votes yes. So thank you very much. Honored to be chair. I will now open the floor for nominations for vice chair. Anyone would nominate counselor Feeney. Are you into that? Yeah, I mean, I'm totally I'm totally up to it. That's fine. I didn't I was like I second, yes. That's that's fine. I'll second that.
