The Building Standards Appeals Board convened on February 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The meeting lasted only seven minutes, as the sole scheduled appeal was withdrawn prior to the meeting. The board approved the amended agenda and the consent calendar.

It's uh one o'clock. I now call this meeting of the building standards appeal board to order. Would the secretary please call the role? Board member field here, board member Mears, board member ransom, Vice Chair Vincent. Here Chair Golick here. The procedures uh for each matter considered by the board. There will be a staff first of staff presentation. Is your mic on? I can't hear it yet. Yes, it's on followed by the presentation from the project applicant. Is it not working? Can you hear me? You have to eat the mic. Okay, okay. Where was I? Followed by the presentation from the project applicant, then discussion by the board. Both staff and applicant will have the right to rebuttal presentation prior to closing the public hearing. Public comments on all matters on the agenda shall be taken during agenda item number six. All public testimony will be limited to three minutes per person. All public testimony must be presented to the board at the podium. The three lights on the podium next to the microphone will indicate the amount of time remaining from for the speaker. The green light will be turned on when uh speaker begins. The yellow light will come on with a soft bell ring when the minute when that one minute is remaining. The speaker should be completing the testimony by the time the red light comes on with a final bell indicating the time has expired. Any testimony that references race, religion, ethnicity, economic status, national orange, or any other classification protected under the state or federal law is at a derogatory manner and shall be deemed irrelevant and will not be considered by the board in making this determined determination in accordance to section 11, Article 2. The appellant and the department will each have 10 minutes to present their position. The department shall present first, then the appellant will present. Each party will have three minutes for a rebuttal. The department will present this rebuttal first, then uh um the questions of either party. The board will then close the hearing, uh the hearing and discuss the appellant appeal and deliberate of the appropriate action. Now we will proceed with the approval of the agenda. Are there any changes to the agenda? Good afternoon, chair and board members. Uh yes, we do have a change to the agenda today. Item 8A, uh the appeal uh pertaining to um 3316 East Olive Avenue um will be removed from the agenda. Uh that uh appeal has been withdrawn, so it will not return to you for consideration, and uh there are uh no additional changes. Thank you. So I um is there a motion uh by uh board member to adopt the agenda amended? Motion to approve the agenda as amended. Yes, okay, Scott Vincent. Um move to do this. Is there a second? Second, Rick Ransom has moved to second. All in favor say aye. Opposed. Okay, then uh it's been approved unanimously. We will now move to the consent calendar on the consent calendar. We have the approval of the January 20th uh building standard board regular meeting minutes. Uh so approval of uh so who is there a motion to approve the consent calendar? So moved.
