So yeah, we're interested in the research because there's a lot more people on bicycles walking, so forth and so on.

But the problem I or the issue I have is uh my bicycle follow-up to wrap and like your replacement we're having discussion about that, but even where the research I think is important.

I am grants development manager of the public works department.

Um I have been with the department for one year now as of yesterday.

Umployee of the city uh going on 24 years, but um again a year now in this position, and so I just wanted to come and share with you what we're doing as a grants development team, and um just give you an update on what we're doing in our world.

Um so since I have come into the position, uh our team did put together a mission statement uh for our grants work, and um that mission statement says that um our mission is to proactively secure sustainable funding through strategic grant development that will improve community prosperity and beautification, promote environmental stewardship, and broaden the long-term investment in citywide infrastructure.

And the key word in that is um that we're really focused on is the strategic component of it.

Um just to ensure that that the work we're doing is is beneficial, we're not just spinning wheels, and just that we are strategic in in how we approach uh what we apply for.
