The Board of Mayor and Aldermen of Germantown, Tennessee, held a regularly scheduled meeting on March 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers. - Resolution 25R05 – Interlocal Agreement to Adjust the Municipal Boundaries: Approved. All consent agenda items were approved unanimously by a roll call vote (4-0).

- Ordinance 2025-5 – Repeal of Division 2, Section 11-33 – Holiday/Seasonal/Special Event Decorations – First Reading and Set Public Hearing Date: City Attorney Goodman presented legal concerns regarding the existing seasonal decorations ordinance (Municipal Code Section 11-33) and recommended its repeal to allow drafting of a replacement ordinance on more solid legal footing. Vice Mayor Gibson noted that the ordinance repeal does not remove the broader framework preserving neighborhood integrity, and that the Neighborhood Preservation Commission, with Attorney Bradford, will work on a thoughtful replacement. The board approved the first reading unanimously (4-0) and set the second reading and public hearing for April 14, 2025.

Good evening. Welcome to the Board of Marin Alderman meeting, the regularly scheduled meeting for Monday, March the 10th. We welcome those that are here with us this evening. Looks like we have some folks from the media. We have English Meadows Legislative Liaison. John Johnson with us as well. Thank you, John, for being here. We appreciate it. A few highlights about this evening's uh meeting. Uh, just a couple things. We actually have a very short scheduled meeting. A couple of highlights. We do have an item known as citizens to be heard, and we encourage anyone who'd like to speak tonight to fill out a sheet and present it to the clerk or officers, and we will acknowledge uh those uh residents or non-residents as item six on the agenda. We do have a ordinance uh change that's on the regular agenda, and as I mentioned, we have uh five items on the consent agenda this evening. This evening our invocation will be led by city engineer Ethan Skaggs and our Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Alderman Scott Sanders. Please rise. Thank you, Mayor. Let us pray. Dear God, as we gather here today, we thank you for your guidance and your presence with us. We are thankful for life, thankful for all that has been given, and we trust your care over us. It was sent to the community as well through different uh means. Um at this time there are no changes or modifications to the agenda from administration.
