Board of Mayor and Aldermen Meeting – April 13, 2026

• Special Recognition – Germantown Education Commission Exceptional Student Award (April 2026): Alderman Sherry Hicks presented the award to Houston High School student James Brandon “JB” Wan. • Beer Board – Public Hearing for Temporary Beer Permit – Down Syndrome Association of the Mid-South: The board considered a temporary permit for the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and the Mid-South to sell beer for on-premise consumption on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Great Hall and Conference Center (1900 South Germantown Road). No public comments. Applicant Eddie Childers (board member, Germantown resident) confirmed the organization obtained required insurance (a new ordinance requirement) and provided training certificates for servers.
