Special Recognition – Beautification Commission Award (July 2026)

• The Board convened as the City of Germantown Beer Board to consider a temporary beer permit application from Memphis Youth Athletics (MYA) for their second annual gala “Strides for the Future” on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Great Hall and Conference Center (1900 South Germantown Road). Proceeds benefit MYA’s 2026 summer camp.
• Carrie Roberts (2174 Thornwood Lane, Memphis, TN), interim board chair and gala chair, spoke in support, noting the organization’s 11-year history and positive impact on youth through running. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
• Alderman Sanders noted the application packet was complete, including proof of nonprofit status, insurance, a hold harmless waiver for the city, and at least four licensed servers.
