Goose Creek Planning Commission Meeting – August 5, 2025
The Goose Creek Planning Commission met on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 6:00 PM at City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Judie Edwards with five commissioners present (Edwards, Byrd, Burdick, Glaze, Lilly) and two absent (Jenkins, Matthews). The meeting lasted approximately five minutes and covered routine approvals, a re-submitted annexation and zoning map amendment, and informational plat approvals. No public comments were made.

Discussion Items
- Map Amendment – Lindy Creek Road Annexation/Zoning (TMS 244-01-04-023): This item had previously been presented to the Planning Commission on June 3, 2025, and recommended for approval (6-0). However, due to an error in the adopting ordinance, the item was resubmitted for reconsideration. The applicant, Stanley Martin Homes on behalf of Perlmutter Martin et al Trustees, requested annexation of the parcel (currently in Berkeley County, zoned Residential Single Family R1) into the City of Goose Creek and assignment of Residential Single Family (RSF) zoning. Staff (Alexis Kiser) presented the report and recommended approval. No public or commission discussion occurred. Motion by Commissioner Byrd, second by Burdick to approve the annexation and zoning assignment. Unanimously approved (5-0).
- Plat Approvals (Informational Only): Two plats were noted for informational purposes:
- Carnes Crossroads, Parcel 1, Lot 2 and West Tract Residual – creating right-of-way for 3rd Avenue and extensions to Corbin Street and Charger Drive.
- Corrective Final Subdivision Plat of The Oaks Phase 2 – addressing some addressing concerns.

Y'all previously heard this parcel in June, your June meeting, and voted 6-0 to recommend approval.
