No, you're fine. I'm aware. Good evening, everyone. Evening. Thank you for coming tonight. Today is Tuesday, February 10th. This is our regularly scheduled council meeting. Uh and I appreciate everyone coming out. Uh at this time, Pastor Josh TG will lead us in prayer. Pastor Josh is from St. James United Methodist Church. Following that, uh, we will have the Pledge of Allegiance. But uh pause together. Holy one, as we are gathered this evening, we gather in a space for a final time. We thank you and honor the history and all the conversations that have taken place in this room that have brought us to where we are. And we pause and honor that this evening. We gather today also mindful of the many people whose work sustains our community. Our essential workers who serve in hospitals and in classrooms on streets and job sites, in public safety, sanitation, and countless other unseen roles. Their commitment, their courage and care make our shared life possible. And their safety and dignity deserve our constant attention. As elected officials and public servants, we recognize the trust that is placed in us. The decisions made in this room reach far beyond these walls, shaping daily lives, workplaces, and even futures. May we approach then this work with humility, with accountability, and a deep sense of responsibility to those we serve. In our conversations today, may we listen carefully, weigh our choices thoughtfully, and act with fairness and integrity. Amen. And he is the only one. I'll get my five minutes in. I had went down my street uh about ten days ago and nine days ago in that area, and uh on Indigo Road, and my name is Kevin Patterson. I've been resident there for 32 years. And uh I'm trying to figure out what's going on in the street again, because I looked on my GPS map and it's all red down the street there. And this time somebody's moving cars into their yard with a tow truck. So I got out of my car and I said, You know, you're blocking the road. I don't, he said, we can go around the subdivision. I said, I don't want to go around the subdivision. I want to go with my house. It's right down, it's right there. And he said, I'm moving my cars, I'm working on these cars. I said, There's like 12 cars back there. I said, You can't do that. Of course, he asked me who I was, and I said, I'm not just his neighbor. He said, he didn't want to talk to me anymore. So I looked up the code under 93161, the abatement of the city involving violations of great immediate danger under the Goose Creek Code on chapter 93. That uh so I called the code enforcement officer, and he did respond out there and said that he has that uh he would have to issue a citation, but he has to find the owner who's in that house. And I said, Well, there's a lot of cars out there again, because of people across the street from him, they have three families that live in that house. If you look at the front yard, which the pictures I showed you, there's like four or five cars sitting in the front yard, because when people get home at night, they'll be parking the rest of the families. We'll be parking all along the street there. And of course, on the weekends, it's even worse. So I'm worried about uh if it's going to be enforced and how my neighborhood's starting to look lately. I've been there 32 years and it just keeps going down and down and down and down. And you know my past history with the Airbnbs all coming in my neighborhood and causing a problem.
