All right, good evening. Um, I'd like to welcome you to the December 12, 2024 meeting of the Greenville City Council. I'm Mayor P. J. Conley for presiding over tonight's meeting. First, I'd like to call on Mayor Pro Tem Daniels for the invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. I'd like to call forth Pastor Brandon Dawson of Peace Church. Good evening, everyone. Good evening. Let us pray together, shall we? Gracious God, we thank you first and foremost for allowing us to make it through this day to come together to gather together, seeking your genius and your wisdom as it pertains to the things of this city. Father God, I pray for this leadership aggregate body that you would bless them with your collective genius and the humility to accept what your will is, to hear from you clearly and to execute those things that you would have to come forth from these proceedings, Father. Well God, we lift them up individually and collectively as service oftentimes doesn't always have the spoils attached with it. These individuals have invested so much of their time and so much of their treasure and talent to serve this city. I pray that you would allow them to find rest and reprieve and confirmation and knowing that them serving this city is great gain, not only for the city, but for them individually. God, we pray for this city as many of us in this holiday window are wrestling with several moments of firsts without loved ones, while the rest of the world is rejoicing. Many of us are trying to reconcile what it is to open up presence without that loved one being here to watch us do so. And so I pray that you would send a special grace that would aid and comfort those of us who are in moments of mourning and bereavement, remembering that your word declares that blessed are they that mourn, for they would be comforted. God, we also selfishly pray in my conclusion for all of the council members, but one council member in particular, Mr. Scullery. God, he's got a restaurant here in the city with delicious cinnamon French toast. And it is my goal to no longer be a chubby pastor. So God, I pray that you would allow your genius to be matched as well, to allow him to create a version without as many calories. Because I'm not willing to part, not eating them. There's so many people around me, God, that talk about losing weight, and it's my testimony to present that I've been finding it all. And so I pray God that you would bless Matt to half of delicious French toast, cinnamon without the calories. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I pray to allegiance. One nation of God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Thank you, sir. All right. We'll move on. Madam Clerk, can you please call the roll? Yes, sir. Uh Mayor Connolly. Here. Mayor Pro Tem Daniels. Present. Councilmember Foreman. Here. Councilmember Blackburn. Present. Councilmember Scully. Here. Councilmember Robinson. Here. Councilmember Willis.
