The Greenville City Council held a workshop on October 6, 2025, at 4:00 PM in City Hall Conference Room 337. Mayor Pro Tem Daniels presided. Councilmembers Foreman, Blackburn, Scully, and Robinson were present; Councilmember Willis was absent. The agenda was approved with an addition of a closed session. The workshop focused on potential changes to standards for microbreweries and Bar 2022, and an update on the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). A closed session was held at the end.
I'm sure you ever seen a hearst. I'm dead. You hold a bunch of money in it? You ever seen anybody put a money basket when you've been here? We've got to use it on the hands. All right, good afternoon, everyone. Welcome to the October 6th. Workshop with the group. First, I'd like to call our city clerk for a roll call. Aaron Connelly. Here. Mayor for Tend Daniels. Present. Councilmember Foreman. Here. Councilmember Blackburn. Present. Council Member Stully. Here. And Councilmember Robinson is legislature will not be joining us this evening. Willis. My bad. I got ahead of myself. I'm like, okay. Okay, Councilmember Robinson is here. Wait a second. I like this is hard to miss. Sorry for the delay. Councilmember Willis has let us know she's going to Mayor Conley. All right, they're about to tell them about the approval of the agenda, Mr. Attorney. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. Good afternoon, Mayor and Council members. I'd exit a closed session motion to be added to the workshop to be read right before adjournment. All right, motion made by the present Mr. Robinson. Present Mr. Scully, all those in favor say aye. I suppose say nay. Motion passes by item number one or no business update from discussion of potential changes to the standards for the bar 22 and microbrewer uses. We did talk about bar 2022 at your October meeting, and we'll pick that up at the end. So now we're just going to go through the microbrewery piece. Thank you. So if you serve the background for the microbreweries, are there currently two microbreweries here in town? They're specifically in the downtown uptown brewing and Pitt Street Brewing. Both of these entities have expressed an interest in serving mixed beverages. So under state law, they can serve mixed beverages. But under Greenville's regulations, we only allow them to serve here in Ryan. And so the main point of this discussion is if council would like to allow microbreweries to serve mixed beverages.
