All right, good evening. Uh I'd like to call the December 11, 2025 meeting of the Greenville City Council Order. I'm Mayor P. J. Connolly. I'll be presiding over tonight's meeting. First, I'd like to call on Councilmember Portia Willis for the invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Thank you, Mayor. I'd like to call Pastor Peterson forward. He's a pastor of the Pentecostals of Greenville to give the invitation. Thank you, Councilman Whip. Councilwoman. Let's pray. Lord, we love you and we look to you tonight. Your word says that we have not because we ask not. And so on this first night of this new chapter with this new team. God, I ask a few things. God, I ask that you would give wisdom to these council men and women, this great mayor, this great leadership team. I pray God give them wisdom to handle the weighty responsibility of leading this community. God, I pray that you would give them strength and peace. That Lord, the strength that's needed that when opposition comes or when difficulty comes, or uh when their flesh is weary, God, I pray that they can look to your strength, and God, that they can find peace in the midst of the storm because you are the prince of peace. God, I pray it for them, but Lord, I also pray it for their families, their homes, their marriages, their children, as they lead this community, God, I pray protection round about them. And Lord, finally, I pray let them be led of your spirit. Let them be led by your power that you are guiding, you are directing every step of the way. And if that is the case, then Lord, we have reason to thank you in advance tonight for what you're going to do through this great team. And so, Lord, I do that. I thank you in advance for the goals that will be achieved. Lord, for the doors that will open. Lord, for the new heights that Greenville, North Carolina will go to as this wonderful team is led of your spirit. God, I pray it all in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ. And everybody said Amen. Amen. Thank you, Pastor Peterson. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance through the flag of the United States of America. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Madam Clerk, will you please call the roll? Yes, sir. Mayor Connolly. Here. Mayor Pro Tim Foreman. Here. Councilmember Jones? Here. Councilmember Hardy. Here. Councilmember Scully. Here. Councilmember Robinson. Should be joining us later.
