The concession stand flood issue was discussed: the French drain works well in summer, but winter ice and plowing have led to occasional water entry; the water does not reach freezers and no damage has occurred in 22 years. Adding an interior drain is not feasible due to environmental regulations.
- Pickleball Court Request – A resident asked to convert one tennis court at each of two locations (Hooksett and Fraser) to dedicated pickleball courts, but the board identified legal constraints: the courts were built with state grants requiring they remain tennis courts. Growing tennis participation through HYA/USA Tennis (now using three evenings per week) further limits availability. The board deemed the current setup—with adjustable nets—adequate, and noted that pickleball already occurs at Fraser Park when tennis is not scheduled.
- Industrial Era Boards – The board began reviewing the industrial era historical storyboards. So call me to order. Rob Prox Records Chief. Member. Pledge of Allegiance. I know I thought that afterwards. So I get out of the mic. I was in the service, so I didn't have to do that. So I'm sure everybody read last month's minutes. Not weed project when the when the uh wood chips are fall out. We did at the last media and she gave me the information, but I haven't been on that yet. Okay. Yes. We didn't forget about it. No, we didn't forget about it. Okay. Um there's on a Tuesday, there are meetings, so I gotta go over there on a Tuesday night. Um I was gonna call Mr. Danforth, but I just I'll think I'll just go to the meeting. Do you know anybody from the Boy Scouts? Okay. So I'll just I'll go there. That's not a big deal because they'll just hopefully just whip them right out for us. Uh okay. So now we're gonna do the final review for the Alfred J. Lambert Riverside Park right up. So on the QR board. Well, I'll put it first. So I had a meeting, non-public meeting, and the non-public meeting. Um we we are to review and point out the errors that we see on these signs. Then uh we're we were given as much time as we need. There's no time limit to get it done. So we started on the um, then we had a meeting, Rob and I, uh with Leanne, um Abby Malonis and Tony didn't show up. He called in by phone. So we had a meeting, and we gave her her, uh Leanne a copy of the some of the some of the errors we've seen on the Lambert Park sign, uh River Park sign. So I also read the heritage minutes, and I read Leanne's minutes, and I got the impression that they were going to send the sign back out and have it remade without us checking it again. So I sent an email to Leanne, and she sent out an email to hold off on the sign. Uh so they they did authorize $1,500 to get this sign remade. Um the sign itself, the only thing I've seen is on the first side here where it says Riverside Park. At the very bottom, they said the park was renamed AJ Lambert Riverside Park, and it's Alpha J Lambert Riverside Park. The very bottom on this side of the road. Are you on the mill era or are you on the European? On no on the sign on the present 1960 to present. Flip one of those over. Oh, perfect. Got it. Okay, and then right down here on this side, the front, the first section of it, and I don't know which way yours was printed. It's it's under the Riverside Park. Yeah. And right at the last par uh sentence, it says that the um that the park was changed names back to AJ Lambert Riverside Park. And it's Alpha J Lambert Riverside Park.
