The Horry County Council held its regular meeting on February 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Johnny Gardner, followed by an invocation by Councilman Bill Howard and the Pledge of Allegiance by Councilman Cam Crawford. The council approved the agenda as amended (deferring one item), approved the minutes from the February 4, 2025 meeting, and approved the consent agenda. A presentation was made designating February 21, 2025, as Government Communicators Day. The meeting concluded with memorial dedications, announcements of upcoming meetings, and a recognition of a citizen for work on the Legends Drive Special Tax District.

I just got a text from our vice chairman, Mr. DeSabato stuck in traffic, but knows that we're going to push forward. We'll start tonight, like we always do with the invocation tonight by Mr. Howard, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by Mr. Crawford. If I can get everybody to please stand. I'm here today to present the Government Communicators Day Resolution, which is a resolution that honors both our community members, the members of our local media team, and the members of our small but mighty public information team.
