I'm here today to present the Government Communicators Day Resolution, which is a resolution that honors both our community members, the members of our local media team, and the members of our small but mighty public information team.

A resolution by Ory County Council to designate February 21st, 2025 as Government Communicators Day.

Whereas the role of government communicators and the public information field is to inform, educate, and engage communities.

And whereas robust communication in government fosters understanding, trust, and collaboration among all community members and visitors.

And whereas government communications builds partnerships, calls community members to action for the collective good, builds understanding through storytelling, fosters engagement on civic issues, and provides information critical to the individual decision making that is fundamental to a strong democracy.

And whereas the Ory County Public Information Office, our team members and our partners continuously work to get the right information to the right people at exactly the right time, in accordance with the best practices of an evolving field and a heart for our community members.

And whereas Ori County recognizes the importance of communication and remains committed to meeting the information needs of our growing community to empower our citizens to enjoy the highest possible quality of life.

Now, therefore, Ory County Council resolves that February 21st, 2025 is recognized as government communicators day.
