Good afternoon.

1:48

It is my pleasure to be here.

1:50

We are blessed to live in a county that cares about their senior adults.

1:55

That is for sure.

1:58

I was recently at a strategic planning meeting in a board retreat.

2:03

And I realized that 25 and three-quarters percent of our population are over 65.

2:10

And it almost scared me when I heard that because I've been floating around for 40 years, and that number has gone up more and more.

2:19

And um, they're just great people.

2:21

I'm honored to serve them.

2:23

They made the right decisions, so I'm where I'm at now, and I intend to serve them as long as I can.

2:34

We never say no.

2:37

One of our largest services to seniors is information.

2:42

And now with technology, we have a lot of questions.

2:46

We even have people that come in and we have to help them with their online because they can't do online.

2:54

I mean, it's just the bottom line.

2:56

A lot of a lot of us can't.

2:58

I can, but a lot of people at 70, my age, they can't.

3:01

So they need these services, and we try to help them in any way we can, and we also refer our folks to services when we can't, then we know where they do need to call.

3:14

And that means a lot to people knowing where to call to get the right service.

3:18

It's not always about a meal or transportation.

3:22

Um, that information is very valuable when you need it and you don't know where to go or where to turn.

3:29

But having said that, um, we're up to 48,453 congregate meals, meals in the senior center.

3:37

Um, transportation to the center is 79,794 miles.
