Now being trapped in a small boat and adrift on a stormy sea is what most people would call a horrible, dreadful and ghastly sort of situation, but not Sonny, who thought she preferred boating just now to swimming.

Or would you rather go swimming in a stormy ocean?

I think I'd pick the boat.

But that is when the big wave came.

Oh no, what do you think's going to happen?

Oh what happened to the boat?

It got washed up onto the rock.

Now, most people would say that things were looking exceedingly bleak.

That means they were looking very bad.

That being stuck on a rock in a boat, surrounded by a stormy sea was probably as bad as things could get, but not Sunny, who thought things weren't that bad because at least she wasn't alone.

Who do you see in the boat with her?

It's a seagull.

He must be a good friend to have right now.

Oh did the seagull do?

He's flying away.

But then Sunny was alone.

Now most people would probably cry at this point.

Is Sunny gonna start crying?

And this time that's exactly what Sonny did.

But then look at that.

Who's coming?

Look at all of those birds.

And what are they doing?

Do you think they're helping Sunny?

She was lifted off of the rock over a less stormy sea.

Over the little town.

And sat down just where she needed to be.

Now most people would say that being late for school was a bad kind of situation.

Is it good when we're late for school?

No, it is not.

Sunny thought that just this one time her teacher would understand.

And you did such a great job listening.

Now what kind of weather did we see in that story?

We saw rain and we saw sun.

We saw wind and all sorts of other weather.
