Huntington Beach Planning Commission Meeting - February 26, 2019

Construction hours were proposed as Monday–Friday 7 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–6 p.m., with no Sunday/holiday work; heavy haul truck activities limited to 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday. The project was found exempt from CEQA (Class 14).
  • Commissioners asked clarifying questions about construction sequencing, noise mitigation, and landscaping for the removed grassy area. The applicant (Shauna Schaffner, CEO, CAA Planning; Jason Lopez, Head of School) explained that phase one parking lot work will occur during summer 2019 to be ready by Labor Day, and construction staging will be on-site behind the gym. All construction deliveries will avoid school drop-off/pickup hours (7:45–8:30 a.m. and 2:30–3:30 p.m.).
