On March 17, 2020, Governor Newsom issued executive order N29-20, which allows local legislative bodies to hold public meetings via teleconferencing and to make public meetings accessible telephonically or otherwise electronically to all members of the public seeking to observe and address the local legislative body.

Pursuant to the executive order, please be advised that some members of the planning commission and city staff are participating in this meeting telephonically or electronically.

Before you tonight is General Plan Conformance Number 2020-001, a request by the City of Huntington Beach to determine if the 2020-2021 capital capital improvement program is in conformance with the goals and policies of the general plan.

A zoning text amendment for group homes (previously acted on by the Commission) will be on the July 6 City Council agenda. The next Planning Commission meeting on July 14 will include a zoning map amendment for a property on 17th Street.
Commissioner Comments – Commissioners provided brief remarks: Commissioner Mandic apologized for a misstatement during the Pledge; Commissioner Scandura wished everyone a safe Fourth of July; others had no additional items.
