Uh today we gather here uh to celebrate two individuals for the services that they've provided to the uh to the community.

Um we celebrate Andrew Chase uh and his wisdom uh that he's provided uh and Laura Deal for the passion that she's provided uh to the city.

Consider and/or act on an ordinance canvassing the returns and declaring the election results for the May 2nd, 2026, uh uh of a general election for the purpose of electing individuals to the office of mayor, council member place three, council member place five to three-year terms of each office and a special election for the purpose of submitting a ballot propositioning to uh to the qualified voters of the city, such proposition being the reauthorization of a local sales and use tax in the city of Murphy for the maintenance and repair of municipal streets.
