Moving forward, we have four resolutions to be reviewed today, three of which are on the agenda.

One of which is what's referred to as a walk-on resolution.

Resolution number 2022 E034, a walk-on resolution authorizes the director of DMD to amend the interlocal cooperation agreement with IHA to provide additional funds in the amount of one million dollars to help stabilize organizational operations while IHA continues implementing the moving forward restructuring plan and to explore the use of third-party vendors to undertake tenant recertifications.

Resolution number 2022 A019 for public hearing authorizes an amendment to the terms of a real property tax abatement with Rolls-Royce Corporation, including extension of the economic revitalization area designation.

Authorizes an amendment to the terms of a personal property tax abatement with Rolls-Royce Corporation, including extension of the economic revitalization area designation.

And 20 and resolution number 2022, C008 authorizes the Department of Metropolitan Development to amend the scope of the Indianapolis Housing Trust Fund Agreement with the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention of Greater Indianapolis CHIP Resolution No.

To include all persons with lived experience and not just youth that are participating in planning and implementation boards, committees, and work groups to inform continuum of care policies and procedures.

For the record, this is categorized as a walk-on.

It's a very, very important resolution.

Well, thank you for the opportunity to be here, Mr.

President, members of the Commission.

I'm Jeff Bennett, Deputy Mayor of Community Development.

Here, I realize this isn't a resolution for public hearing, but I appreciate the opportunity to speak on the record nonetheless regarding resolution 2022 E34.

The mayor's office and the Department of Metropolitan Development, as well as the Commission itself have been working closely with Marsha since January when she took over as interim executive director.

Implementing a comprehensive restructuring program for the agency that uh that Marcia has called the Moving Forward Plan.

Uh we have been to the Commission three times since January in support of that plan.

This is the fourth visit uh for us uh before the commission.

Uh you all extended an existing uh loan on a IHA property that we call Millican en masse.

Um the repayment of 1.5 million dollars uh to the commission will now be due at the end of 2023 instead of earlier this year.

Uh you most recently supported a 250,000 dollar grant for the hiring of temporary maintenance workers who are under employment now and doing the work that they have uh uh that they were uh hoped the to do uh and are making uh a pretty significant difference in the condition of the properties across the IHA portfolio.

And then at the last meeting, you um renewed an existing agreement that's a pass-through agreement of meridian redevelopment area TIFF increment to the agency for the preservation of affordable housing, especially downtown.

So what we're asking for today uh is a little bit different.

Uh it is uh also a grant, I should uh clarify.
