Not coming. Okay. So I think we are all here, so we will go ahead and call the meeting to order. This is the Board of Indianapolis Animal Care Services. The time is now 8 32. And let's begin with introduction. So we'll just go around the room and state your name and your role. All right. James and Layson, CFL. Jane Parson, board secretary. Brett Kruger, mayoral appointee. Chris Roberson, mayoral appointee. Amanda Dehoney, director. Bailey Renchie, board counsel. First on the agenda is the adoption of minutes. Is there any corrections or discussion over the minutes from our last meeting from when was that? October 27th, 2025. Small one for me, only one E in my name. Oh excuse me. Sorry. Okay, hearing no corrections, the minutes can stand approved as presented. And then we will move on to new business. First up we have resolution 0725 with James Singleson for licensed contracted veterinary services. Alright, this is uh for Indy Humane. Our it's one of our largest uh year-to-year spay neuter contracts for an additional quarantine 25,000. Um this is they do a can do a lot for us as you may be aware, but it's primarily spay and neuter. So this is a year-to-year contract. I'm not even sure when the original original partnership started, but it can one of our primary partners for years, probably even back when Amanda was here the first time, and that is we're just extending it one year and adding uh the 425 to it. And then this is related to kind of the span neuter, it has to be about this size just because we don't have a Fed internally. So do we have any questions? Jims, can you help us understand or explain where that extra 425,000 comes from? Just from a high level. Um the contracts themselves. We don't this is a this is not to exceed, it doesn't have to guarantee that we have to spend this money. Um this is the amount I kind of forecasted it, and honestly, it would have to say if we had been running through our current budget like it is this year, and we had to get another fiscal. This would I would rather go high and not run to the contract max and have to amend the contract and stop services and pre-continue. Um likely these would just if we had had to cannibalize from any other flexible budget. Um while we're facing some definite budget concerns for next year. We've also well I've applied to two grants I'm aware of another one that I need to apply to before the end of November for that I'm aiming for like contract vet for just spaying her services in general. So if we get any of these additional vets, it's possible we could use some of that additional money towards IndyCumane. But I'd rather have a contract have a little bit of extra not to exceed in it and not need it and need it and have to go back to y'all in like say October and for and then the contract expires anyway in December.
