First up, we will do adoption of the minutes.

Next up, new business.

Looks like we're going to do shelter stats first.

And that packet I think is the ones from last meeting.

So the ones that emailed this morning are what we're gonna go over.

Our total intake for 2025 was 9,397.

And total outcome was 8,622.

I could break that down if you like.

Adoptions were 3,844.

Return to owners were 823.

Transfer out to other organizations or rescues was 2,542.

Return to field 181.

This one return to wild was 12.

Our savor live release rate.

I won't say savory.

Our live release rate for dogs and cats was 89.43 for the year.

For December, total animals in care starting December 1st was 423.

Total animals in care 1231 was 379.

Just for December, we had 382 adoptions, 95 returned to owners, and 225 were transferred to rescues.

Our total outcomes for the month were 784, and our total diversions were 13.

Just in graphs.

Total number of active volunteers, this is just for December was 143.

Number of hours volunteered at the shelter was 1,652 at special events was 41.

And doggy day outs was 47.

Giving us a total of 1,740.

And we have a 14% vacancy rate for December 2025.

Yeah, I mean it goes, we put everything in our chameleon system and then it calculates.

I won't say a discrepancy.

There was a change or difference of opinion versus live rate versus save rate.

So we're just doing the live live release rate versus the save rate.

But as far as I'm concerned, our stats are pretty accurate as possibly can be.

I I mean, like the only example I can recall off the top of my mind is I thought there was an issue with how we reported diet-in care.

Like I remember historically somebody making the comment that if ICS picked up an animal that was already dead, that there wasn't a mechanism to indicate that and it ended up being reported as diet care, and so they were able to do that.

Kelly has fixed all those reports to to show way more accurately for those.

I do so if we picked up like a DOA, it would show rather than like for disposal of the show as dieting care.

Yeah.

And she goes back through them also and changes any that she notices like someone put in correctly, she does go back there and re corrects those.

And that could more than likely like neonates or something that came in super sick and we couldn't get up through it.

Yeah, yeah.

I think there was a spike at some period of time of a lot of diet in here.

Um that was before you were here.

Yeah.

It might be a little too early to have a good answer to this question.

But I know there was a a huge number of applicants to become volunteers, and obviously Lucian is now rolled out the new volunteer orientation.

Do you have any sense of of that approximately 800 applicants kind of where we are now with the I want to say he just sent an email to volunteers about this, and I do not remember the exact numbers.

I want to say he had a total of don't quote me on this, 39 that had actually come in for their first shift and went through orientation and has actually actively started volunteering.

Um he does almost I think it's on Facebook, it's in his email, but I think he said he does roughly 12 new new trainings a week, or he's trying to, and he does have some other volunteers that are also helping with the training now too for new volunteers.

So yeah, it's going.

I mean, we don't have 800 new people, but we expected that um just from the application sitting so long, losing interest, moving and whatnot.

So yeah, and he's just rolling out his uh dog walking training so with that.

We will move to resolution 0126 for medical services.

Um six for extending uh signal pet uh professional service agreement by 20,000 for one year.

Um they provide our x-ray services that we send them out, pass them on.

Do they have radiologists that interpret those x-rays, or is it all AI?

So it's all AI from my understanding, and then we send them to a veterinarian to interpret.

Um we are getting a little bit of pushback, which we can discuss later if you want.

Um but that there's not an actual radiologist, it's a it's AI-based, and then it flags anything that it thinks looks inconsistent or wrong, and then we send them for interpretation to our one of our contract effects to interpret them.

I'm and just as a minor sort of technical thing, though these were dated in preparation for the meeting on Monday.

And then resolution 22.

Um is we are pursuing this at the moment, um, but we wanted to go ahead and get permission for it for a digital uh span neuter and just general medical clinic.

Um called four precious drawers.

Four precious costs up in Lebanon, I believe they're in Lebanon, they would do pickups for us as well.

Yeah, so transport spending resources.

I was wondering about that.

Yeah, okay.

Yeah, so we're working to that as an additional option.

Um, we wouldn't necessarily use the max amount of every single proposal we bring to y'all.

That's just the max we're allowed to spend, so the more options we have the better for especially teleporting.

Yeah we're now incurring or taking on transport fees for some places too so how do you envision that arrangement being affected by the new shelter would they would they consider doing outside speech or we continue to transport that's a discussion we probably had to have with them on the I have not asked them that but uh I did mention to them that we were moving within the next few months and I just gave them the new address and what they told me it's about the same amount of time to do a pickup from our current location to the new location because we're so close to the highway either way.

I imagine they would probably prefer to do it at their clinic just because they probably have it's height high volume spinater clinic so they probably have all the the text and all that which we would not be able to provide so but it's definitely a discussion path because we would love to have people in there doing it.

So yeah.

Alright motion to approve yeah to approve second okay all in favor say aye I think that is the last unless anyone has anything else speaking of new shelter any update um we were there was it two Fridays ago on a tour um looks beautiful inside they're getting all the floors and the light fixtures in painting is done yeah it's coming along great our only holdup now is the kennel production and shipping and installation so they're thinking that will all be completed as far as installed ready to go completion day is still March but the kennel installation won't be finished until mid-April so we're still on track to hopefully be in the building and operating May 1st so depending the move only takes us that short time that's exciting yeah the barn's up yeah looks great the barn is the only part of the building I have not toured so that gets pretty muddy out in the field is there a date by which we have to be out of the current facility no we have like a year after it's uh well 1231 if we're if we're still in the building by the state will kick us out um are we able to terminate the lease early once we're completely uh we are paying one dollar to this one dollar to the state so it's yeah for like a it was like a three year four year lease something like that I read the lease once like two ish years ago but it's is the shelter unlevel for any liability issues once it's moved out and remains a tenant pursuit to that one dollar lease uh that would be a question for OCC and kind of the O of M real estate team of what we're actually responsible liable for but I would say probably not since it's with the state and we've maintained those relationships where we swap property maybe if it was with a I would be maybe more worried if it was with a private um you know real estate but since it's with the state I'm not too concerned about it.

Yeah from what I recall of the lease it's pretty broad kind of don't burn down the building basically sure from tours that we build we didn't yeah we do make we are making plans we'll we'll we're gonna take there's gonna be quite a few tours coming up we just want so every time we've gone there's like certain areas you can't go in because they're doing something so we want it to be kind of like completed for everyone um I know Friends Foundation's gonna do like their big capital campaign a big reception there um and then we're gonna bring council over one time um we'll bring you guys out I mean we'll we're gonna do volunteer tour a staff tour before just that way everyone gets in there before yeah it's cool in order to make a special tour for us have to get feedback on the case well you guys can come with council so yeah because right now it's uh every time we've gone you know especially on the bigger tours once it gets over like five six people we have to like stop in certain hallway and be like oh can we go this way no right now they do prefer smaller curtain that maneuver everyone through yeah but we're very excited there's gonna be like a big room all not quite this size but like a classroom size one in the regular conference room offices all sorts of there's a lot of rooms there's so many rooms yeah um maybe we save off the building the turf is out if you guys are buying the turf the agility equipment and all that is out in the big the big dog park um what else was there was they were closed for closed one day but fully but back back in business just inside all this week because I think they stop outside work once it's too cold yeah which fair I wouldn't want to be working outside this weather anyway yeah yeah little exciting news we have our contracted vet is there today and she has a friend who is helping her is another vet that's yesterday she came yesterday as well um and seemed very interested in signing a contract and signed up
