Uh this is uh Indigo Board of Directors meeting.

It's Thursday, July the 31st, 2025, and we're now calling this uh public meeting to order.

Uh four o'clock p.m.

And uh our uh legal counsel Bob Fry, would you please call the role?

Yes, um good afternoon, directors.

Please indicate your attendance uh when I call your name.

Here Director Gardner present director quick, Director Fagan.

Present director slash is is she on?

No, okay.

Um just for the the record of the minutes, uh we'll note that uh director Fagan is attending virtually.

Uh but we do have a quorum, Mr.

Chair.

Okay, thank you, Bob.

Uh now going to the regular agenda.

We only have one item on the agenda today, which is uh public hearing on the proposed 2026 budget.

And if uh anyone desires to speak, you uh must place your name on the list.

Is that it is with the board's administrative staff.

Where would that be?

Okay, there we are.

Then at the end.

And when your name is called, please come up to the podium and seat your name, your city, state, and zip code for the record.

And uh you will be given two minutes to provide comments.

We uh kindly ask that your comments be directed solely to the uh to this to the 2026 budget.

So do we have anyone that is uh that wants to speak?

Do we have anybody on the list yet?

Well, seeing no one from the public wishing to comment, I will now close the public hearing and turn this matter over to the board for discussion.

So at this point, I would ask if there's any comments or questions from board members.

Um Bart Brown, CFO.

Uh for Indigo, uh, first of all, we're here tonight because we do have to publish and record our budget ask for 2026, and it was published.

So um, although we typically don't have anybody that comes and talks about the budget, there will be two other opportunities to do this though.

We have to go in front of the council.

And the first opportunity is September 17th when we go in front of the municipal corporations committee.

And Jenny and I will take various members of the crew and of course any board members are welcome to come to speak to the municipal corporations about our budget, and they do hop let the public speak at that point.

And then there is another public hearing that the council, the entire council will hold in their meeting in September as well.

So just want to put that out there that this is not the only opportunity to speak on our budget.

Um, having said that, I want to uh uh congratulate and applaud you, Bart and your whole staff for all the hard work that everybody put in uh to do the budget.

I think everybody knows it's a uh extremely uh uh hard job, and it takes a lot of time, effort, and and dedication.

I thought you might want to thank them publicly for us.

Yeah, absolutely.

Again, Justin Burkope, we heard from last month, he and Andrea Carroccio, uh uh, they put in hours again and then every department, you know, they have to stop what they're doing, and we make them sit down and get their computer and put their budget in, then they kind of come justify to myself, then to Jenny, and then to you.

So it's a it it's probably one of the smoothest um times that we've had with the budget since I've been here.

So I just want to thank everybody who did any work on the budget for this year.

Also like to congratulate Bart and Justin and the team, but I also want to thank our our finance committee members for uh the hard work that uh that went into reviewing the budget.

And and Bart, thank you for sitting down with us and and walking us through that.

And and Justin, thanks for sitting down with me and answering all my questions and and um so I think we've got the best product that we can possibly get, and I'm very proud of the the work that the the finance committee did uh put help the team put the budget together.

And who are the uh members of the finance committee?

That would mostly would be Mary Ann for the for the large majority of the year, and then Adrian has just been appointed to the to the finance committee since she journal.

Yeah, and I and I'm on the board too.
