- Staff offered three options: (1) sunset the program with a 90‑day removal period, (2) renew for one year, (3) renew for two years, or (4) permanently adopt the ordinance.
- Council discussed the low uptake and lack of complaints. Most council members favored option 2 (renew for two years), with one member initially preferring permanent adoption but later supporting the two‑year renewal. Consensus was to renew for two years and place the required ordinance amendment on the consent agenda.
Key Outcomes
- Both items will be placed on the consent agenda for the next regular council meeting (tentatively October 6, 2025).
- For the Nesbit Ferry trail, the $200,000 contract amendment will be voted on as part of the consent agenda.

Thank you, Mayor. We are recording. I call this meeting of the council to order at uh 5 o'clock PM on September 22nd, 2025. Thank you. Would you lead the pledge? To your for which it stands. The first item under ongoing project, Cis and Nasbit Ferry Corridor, the engineering for a trail, Brumbelow to Nesbitt Lakes. We have Assessment City Manager Haggard for a presentation. Good evening, Mayor and Council. Johns Creek and Roswell have partnered to improve the Nesbitt Ferry Corridor using T S PLOS 2 funds with John Street leading the project. The corridor plan calls for operational improvements as well as pedestrian connections along Nesbitter Ferry Road. Council has already advanced the first project, a roundabout at Colony Club Drive, which is now in the right-of-way acquisition phase and on track for construction authorization later this year. The next priority is to add a trail on the east side of Nesbitt Ferry Road from Brumbelow Road north to Nesbitt Lakes. Engineering is estimated at 200,000. Tonight I am requesting council authorization of this funding and approval of a contract amendment with practical design partners to complete the engineering. And with that, I am happy to answer questions. Thank you, Mr. Haggard. I'll just ask you real quick. So can you just go through the financials? Uh just want to nail down as far as where the money is. Right. So in when we set the T SPOS 2 budgeting in 2022, uh we allocated $7.5 million to the Nesbitt Ferry corridor of Johns Creek's T SPAS 2 funds. Roswell, when we signed the IGA with them, allocated one million dollars of their funds to match our first million. Do you want more detail? And so I mean all that is still there. Uh except for the little bit that we have spent. Yes. All right. And then the current timeline for the Colony Glenn roundabout. We are acquiring right away. We have five parcels. We have acquired one and we have four in negotiations. Okay. And so construction we anticipate by the end of the year would be out to bid. Okay. And so bid processes. A month plus a month of your approval process. So probably start moving dirt at earliest February, my guess. Spring would be really getting it. All right. And then just one last thing, just if staff could, I think that the website regarding this project needs to be updated. Some of the dates are just date. So thank you. Next. Thank you, Chris.
