Whereas the city of Jonesburg, Arkansas desires to accept the following described easement for the purpose of constructing and maintaining drainage improvements.

Legal description follows.

This is over on Cape Street.

It's one of the pipes that goes from Kate Street north towards the railroad.

It's actually underneath one of the buildings, the existing piping system, and it's somehow cross-connected with Citywater and Lights Sanitary Sewer System.

And we're wanting to relocate it into this new easement and abandon that old system since there's a problem with it.

And it's it's underneath the building that we can't maintain, and there's an issue with with that cross connection that's causing the basically the flooding of City Water Light Sanitary Sewer system.

It's relocation, isn't it?

Of a pipe that's already in existence.

Um those um bus stops, two parts.

One, I know the lights and utilities for that.

Are they the ones that is covered?

Is this for the lights that's going to be covered and uh kind of all the above and where we are with with the covering of those various stops?

So what these shelters will have, they'll have an LED lighting system that will be in there to provide lighting for people to feel safe whenever they're at the shelter, and then also an LED display screen which will uh show the bus times of when the bus will arrive.

Uh this is all a part of that shelter grant process that we're doing.

Uh it's the reason why we have so many of them.

Uh this is a combination of the existing shelters that we had in town plus some additions that we were able to do with these 45 shelters we were able to get.

So with the 45 and the others, would that be all 100% with shelters now with bus stops?

No.

No, it's we've got about 140 approximately bus stops all over town.

Yes, what we've that's one of the things that we've been working on is to find a system that was not only viable to use to provide the light, but also that would be both safe to the public and also um efficiently protect itself when it's in place.

So and that the reason why I bring that up is because that's very low power usage on that.

So I have a follow-up with Dr.

Coleman.

I think he asked a good question.

Um those screens, is that like an is it like a forgive me for my lack of knowledge, like a TV screen or something?

Uh and it'll have bars in front of I mean no, it's uh it is similar, but what it is, it's uh it is a for lack of a better way to explain it.

It is a very large metal box, and when I say metal, I mean it's thick encased metal that locks up the wires run into it, all of the components are inside it.

It also has um ports for air and things like that to come through fans that are built into it.

Um there's actually a heater in it as well.

Uh I know we don't get to those types of temperatures, but if it did drop low enough, it would actually turn a heat strip on that would heat the inside to keep the components from freezing up.

Um it's just an all-in-one encased piece that has uh that protective shell around it.

There's an LED screen, uh display screen.

It's similar to a TV, but it's not quite the same that is inside that, and then there's also a casing on the outside of that LED screen that protects that screen in case anyone were to attempt to damage that in any way.

Whereas the City of Jonesburg desires to accept the low bid and enter into a contract for repairs and rehabilitation of trails at the Craig Ed Forest ATV Park.job number 101148 2026 01, whereas the low bidder and firm selected for the project is Meadows Contractors LLC, whereas the funding for the execution of the contract shall come.

Recreational trails program, RTP grant funds and capital improvement budget and compensation shall be paid in accordance with contract documents.

Section two funding for the execution of the contract shall come from recreational trails program RTP grant.

Funds in the capital improvement budget and compensation shall be paid in accordance with the contract.

Section three, the mayor and city clerk are hereby authorized by the city council, the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this contract.

And um Meadows was the low bidder at 144,358 and 70 cents.

The next one and only other one was Crabtree and Sons.

They were at 174,832.

And I feel like we hadn't done that.

I feel like the media used to do that, and I don't feel like they do that anymore either.

So I think it'd be great if y'all could I don't know, do that for us every six months or something or another, so that we had that.

We can especially now that all that stuff goes in the project docs, and to um we can pretty easily pull a report, and there will be some statistics presented later at the state of the city that'll also cover some of those from last year.
