Um I rise today to acknowledge our city's first walk for alopecia, which uh alopecia serves the National Alopecia Ariata.

The foundation works to build an informed, supported, and empower community while advancing research research toward improved treatments and ultimately a cure for alopecia.

Uh foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of alopecia research advocacy and community of support with more than 40 years of leadership in driving awareness and advancing research.

And I'm so honored to join uh our city staff and those in the community to recognize our first alopecia, our first alopecia day in Kansas City and recognize that amongst others.

And I I want to just take a moment to acknowledge um Miss Leela here uh because she has been a staunch advocate, uh really working diligently with other city staff to put this together uh to make sure that we can recognize those individuals and really do our part to uplift and support the community, uh especially those people suffer in silence.
