The Las Vegas Arts Commission met on June 18, 2026, with a quorum present. The meeting was properly noticed and posted in compliance with Nevada Open Meeting Law. Item 7: Monthly Summary of Current Initiatives – Cultural Affairs Staff Staff provided updates on multiple public art projects: AMP cabinets (10 artists, 7 completed), Cheyenne Ave cabinets (6 of 10 painted), Cimarron Rose Community Center mural, Pop Squires Park mural, Huala Bay Canyon Trailhead Environmental Public Art (artist Luis Varela Rico), and the Arts District Garage Mural (artist Victoria Hart selected). Also reported on conservation: graffiti abatement, bronze sculpture restoration at Anson and Lorenzi Parks, repair of Snowball in Vegas sculpture, and condition assessments.
