Discussion Items
- Items 5–8: The board discussed and approved a series of personnel actions:
- Item 5: Certified eligible list for Alternative Sentencing Supervisor, Architectural Project Manager, and Project Engineer. Approved unanimously.
- Item 6: Extended eligible list for Accounting Technician Trainee, Court Services Supervisor (promotional), Fire Apparatus Mechanic 1, Fire Apparatus Mechanic 2, and Payroll Assistant. Approved unanimously.
- Item 7: Abolished eligible list for Accounting Technician 2. Approved unanimously.
- Item 8: Approved a request to place Spencer Brown on the rehire list for Firefighter/Paramedic at Las Vegas Fire & Rescue (LVFR). Approved unanimously.
Announcements (Citizens' Participation)
- Andy Spurlock from the Human Resources Department announced that Nick Crawford, a Deputy City Clerk, will now run future meetings. He also announced that his last day with the city is tomorrow, August 13, 2026, and that Rhonda Watson will be his replacement. The board thanked him for his service.
