The Leesburg Technology Commission met on April 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM. The meeting was called to order with a quorum established, the Pledge of Allegiance recited, and the minutes of the March 3, 2026 meeting approved unanimously. The commission received updates on a public outreach scam defense class, funded FY2026 information technology initiatives, and upcoming events. No public comments were heard.
In eighteen eighty eight, Tchaikovsky was the most celebrated composer in Russia. And he was utterly convinced that he was finished. He wrote to his patron that spring and confessed inspiration had simply abandoned him. Hasn't the source dried up? He asked. Am I really written out? Not able to be here. So I can't uh kick that to her. But I'll give you an update on the uh curriculum and the uh and the uh class materials. Um so I've been preparing the class materials uh for essentially what I'm calling uh the scam defense class. I mean we'll to be better titled to be terminator. It's a working tab, exactly. Um in the uh in the uh class, I've sort of broken it out into phishing as sort of the primary module, and then um tech support scams, mobile payment scams. I was hesitant to include this one, but the FBI assures me it is highly relevant romance scams. I have to tread carefully uh on that one.
