Lincoln City Council Regular Meeting - April 8, 2024
The Lincoln City Council held its regular meeting on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 3:00 PM, with all members present except Councilmember Washington. All liquor license applications and manager applications were approved by 6-0 votes:

- 24R-132 and 24R-133: Class I license and manager (Anne E. Hemenway) for Genesis Health Clubs (5300 Old Cheney Road).
- 24R-134 and 24R-135: Class I license and manager (Casey A. Ely) for Gala Events (2602 Park Boulevard).
- 24R-136 and 24R-137: Class I license and manager (Miguel Gomez) for Los Cabos Grill (8901 Andermatt Drive).
- 24R-138: Addition of an indoor area for Super Taco (5501 Holdrege Street).
- 24R-139: Special designated license for Tipsy Tina's Taco Cantina (800 Q Street) on May 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 11:55 PM.
Public Hearing – Resolutions
- 24R-110 (Adopted, 6-0): Approved Comprehensive Plan Conformance for the League of Nebraska Municipalities Redevelopment Project, which involves demolition of existing structures and construction of a two-story office building at 14th & L Streets.
- 24R-126 (Adopted, 6-0): Approved the appeal by James Michael Bowers of the StarTran Advisory Board's action approving the Temporary Transfer Center Relocation Proposal. (The council's vote upheld the advisory board's decision.)
Ordinances and Resolutions – Second Reading
Items 24-30 (Saturday Public Market contract), 24R-111/24-31/24R-112/24-32 (Saltillo Express Business Park annexation, zoning, and comprehensive plan amendment), and 24R-113/24-33/24R-114/24-34/24R-115 (Jamaica North Business Park) had their second reading. No vote was taken; final action is scheduled for April 15, 2024.

- 24R-140: Reappointing Gregory McCown, James McKee, and Gregory Newport to the Historic Preservation Commission (terms to 2027).

- 24-36: Amending the municipal code to update definitions for food establishments, vendors, and vendor trucks, and to restrict vending in residential zones between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- 24-37: Declaring approximately 0.09 acres at 10th & N Streets as surplus.
- 24R-146 and related items 24-38 through 24-42: Proposed annexation, zoning changes, and property exchange near N 70th Street and Interstate 80 to facilitate development of a 314.51-acre city-owned site.
