- On Sweet Tweet Home Daycare, one speaker, Robert Rogers, opposed the increase from 9 to 12 children due to traffic concerns on Gatwick Square, a street with no speed bumps.

Public comment: Rob Batchelder (property owner) supported, noting the area is now surrounded by industrial uses. A representative of the daycare supported. Emily Johnson (Piedmont Environmental Council) opposed, citing inconsistency with the comprehensive plan. The board deferred the item to the January 21, 2026 business meeting for further discussion.

I'd like to call the order December tenth, two thousand twenty-five, Loudon County Board of Supervisors Public Hearing. This room has a hearing in loop. If you need hearing assistance, please put your hearing aid to the telecall mode. If you need a headset, we have those available as well. Please see the clerk to request one. Would everybody please join me in the Pledge of Allegiance. Due to the broadcast delay, any member of the public who, if you are not in the boardroom, wishing to address the board on items one, two, and five, which are on the consolidated hearing agenda, please call the number that you see squelling across your screen at this time. If you're in the board room, we ask that when your name is called, you come to the podium closest to you, state your name for the record. State your name for the record. The timer on the podium will indicate your remaining time. When your time has expired, please yield the floor to the next speaker. If you're providing comments via phone, I'm going to ask that you use your cell phone, your stopwatch or something to track your time. Because when you get to two minutes, I don't want to stop you because it messes up your flow. But when you get to two and a half minutes, I will stop you. Yes, Madam Chair. Wonderful. All right. Um there was an item that is being deferred. It is the Concord Industrial Park, ZMAP 2024-0001. Special exception 2024-0009. Mr. Saints, Supervisor Saints, I'm going to apologize to you because it is my practice to defer an item one time, um, just by practice. If a if an applicant asked for an item to be to be deferred twice, I normally call the district supervisor and have that discussion with them. I did not realize that this applicant was making a um request for a second deferral, which means I did not make a phone call to him wherever he's at the I'm apologizing to where'd he go? Anyway, it's clear he doesn't care. But but that's that's normally how I do that, but I didn't do that this time. The applicant did request a deferral um of item six, ledgy 2024-000 two, Concord Industrial Park, Z Map 2024 0001, Special Exception 2024 0009, special section 2024 0040. Therefore, this item will be deferred to the February 11, 2026 public hearing. This item was advertised. And so if you're in the boardroom right now and you do want to speak on the Concord item, you can absolutely still do that and speak on the item. It will not be heard until February. But if you want to speak, uh yeah, February 11th. But if you want to speak on the item, you can do that now, and you can do that again in February. I will say this item will not be deferred for a third time. So let's just say that right now. So I will ask, is there anybody here or on the phone that'd like to speak on item number six, their Concord Industrial Park item?
