I'd like to call to order the March twelfth, two thousand twenty-six, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors budget work session. Board members, I'd like to stress that the importance of this budget work session is a time for us to offer changes, additions, and deletions to the budget. Um you should try to offer all desired amendments and ask any questions you have during the work session. Please only offer motions that you intend to support so we we can be with a fish with our time when we get to the final vote on April seventh. Staff will not be able to make large scale changes to the budget during that meeting. Um and the vote on the budget could be delayed. If there are substance changes that were not discussed, I will be making tonight the um final motion. But I would be making that final motion. And the board of supervisors rules of order. Uh Mr. Vice Chair Donnie Hugh, can you hear me? Yes, thank you very much, Madam Chair, and thank you for accommodating me. Thank you for being here. Um before we start, would everybody please join me in the Pledge of Allegiance? One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. I want to also make note that we've had all four seasons in 24 hours here in Loudoun County. It's been crazy. Okay. We first want to go to the tote board. How are you all doing, staff? You guys doing okay? We are happy to be here. Wonderful. Um I think they mean it tonight because it's the last day of. I think they're actually might need it mean it this time. This is what we live for. Yeah. It's the face. It's the face. Your face is not convincing. It's not a convincing face of the channel. We're trying to be professional, madam chair. Good evening. Um, I have some updates for you. Um, the packet that to support today's uh budget work session went out last evening, and and in addition, we sent out a supplemental um item today around 320, which included a response to the remaining questions uh from the board members. Um in today's packet, we have under budget updates a tote board transmittal, which summarizes how the board ended uh the previous work session, um, and which will show at the end of my presentation. In addition, we have the county budget questions, uh, some CIP questions, and um the tracker of all the questions, which shows that we are complete. Uh, also in your packet is um reissuance of two letters related to a request from the Loudoun Public Defender, as well as a replacement page that was left out of the budgeted document for the Northern Virginia Regional Commission's request for funding. And um finally, if we can bring up the tote board, I would just uh add that we are tracking everyone's motions this evening, and we'll have the um totals being tracked, and I there remains three million dollars available at the current tax rates. Um, and so we will be tracking motions. Um, just because there are some motions around the vehicle tax rate, we have the ability to track um motions related to that as well.
