The Board of Supervisors reconvened on May 13, 2026, following the public hearing, to continue the business meeting originally held on May 5, 2026. The only item of business was a closed session to discuss collective bargaining negotiations. The meeting was brief and no substantive public comments or other agenda items were addressed.

And then we're going and we're going to read in the closed session, which I want to say again is why we actually recess the meeting for May fifth so that we can go into this closed session closed session. They could take a while. Mr. Mr. Turner, will you please read us into closed session? I move the board of supervisors recess this public meeting and enter into closed session pursuant to sections two point two thirty seven eleven A eight and eight twenty-nine of the code of Virginia to consult with legal counsel pertaining to the negotiation of a collective bargaining agreement where public funds are being expended and where negotiations and open session would adversely affect the bargaining position of the county. Any opposed, that motion will pass five zero four with uh four of our colleagues being off today is Mr. Kirchner, Mr. Glass, Miss Brixman, and Mr. Croney. We ready? We ready? All right, Mr. We are we have uh returned, and Mr. Turner, would you please read us out of closed session? I move the closed session be adjourned that the Board of Supervisors reconvenes with public meeting, that the minutes of the public meeting should reflect that no formal action was taken in the closed session. And further move that the resolution certifying the closed session be adopted and reflected in the minutes of this public meeting.
