Board of Public Works Meeting - April 15, 2026

The Board of Public Works of the City of Manitowoc met on April 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM in the Common Council Chambers. Six members were present (Nickels, Koski, Reed, Alfred, Nycz, Reckelberg), with two absent (Norell, Beeman). The meeting lasted approximately 5 minutes, adjourning at 4:05 PM.

Bids for 2026 Seal Coating Program

• Two e-bids were received for Project #WS-26-6: Scott Construction, Inc. ($136,345.40) and Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC ($146,947.40). The board voted unanimously to refer the bids to the Department of Public Infrastructure for tabulation and evaluation.

Snow Removal Assessment Rescission

• The board approved a staff recommendation to rescind snow removal assessment SS2026-0059 due to a staff error. The motion carried unanimously (6-0).

Change Orders

• One change order was approved: Aqualis, CO#1 & Final for 2025 Televising Misc. Sewers II, WU-25-17, in the amount of ($702.88). Motion carried unanimously.

Pay Estimates

• Three pay estimates were approved for payment:
  • Aqualis, 2025 Televising Miscellaneous Sewers II, WU-25-17, Est. 1 & Final, $33,943.12
  • Schaus Mechanical Inc., Library HVAC Rooftop Condensor/Compressor & HVAC Main Controls, WB-25-15, Est. 2, $92,720.00
  • Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission, Maritime Metro TDP Update, Contract No. 25009-05, Est. 3, $6,212.41 Motion carried unanimously.

Contractor's Payroll Affidavits

• None were submitted.
