And I want to thank Councilman Joshua Massan, who has really coordinated the uh visit today along with uh Lindsay James from uh visit uh Mason City, and we've just had a great time uh learning uh about uh Kosovo and learning about uh De Chan.

Iowa has a long-standing sister city relationship with the Republic of Kosovo.

It's a vibrant emerging democracy in southeastern Europe with actually many similarities to Iowa.

Uh it's famous for as a center for culture and tourism, agriculture and mineral mining.

Uh the partnership has been connecting Iowans and Kosovars across all sectors of society.

Mason City City Council Regular Meeting - November 15, 2022
