So I'm here just to offer up a pleasant reminder that starting Sunday, February 1st, all individuals contacting the city by email will need to use the city's new address ending in city of MecWon WI.gov.

  • Resolution 4254 (Fee schedule amendments for peddler, transient merchant, and solicitor licenses): Approved on roll call with no discussion.
  • Resolution 4255 (Polling site consolidation for Feb 17, 2026 primary): The Pieper Power Education Center and Weyenberg Library polling sites will be consolidated into one location at Mequon City Hall. Recommended by the Public Welfare Committee; approved by voice acclamation.
  • Resolution 4256 (Cleaning services contract termination and award): The Public Works Committee lacked a quorum, so the council first voted to suspend the rules (voice acclamation) to consider the item. The resolution terminates the contract with EC Wisconsin and awards a new contract to Vanguard Cleaning Systems for March 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027. Approved on roll call.
  • Closed Session: The council unanimously voted to enter closed session at 8:09 PM under Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate on acquiring property rights related to relocating Lift Station E to 2010 W. Ranch Road.
