Item one is a resolution canvassing the declaring and adopting the results of the special recall election held on November 4th, 2025.

Welcome, Miss Taylor to the dais.

And if you'd like to share some words, you're more than welcome to thank you, Mayor.

Thank you, everyone for coming.

I'm not gonna lean in too close.

Okay.

I normally speak just straight from the heart, but I did write this to ensure I would not ramble on for too long.

So first and foremost, I would like to give all thanks and glory to God, to the Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior, through whom all good things are accomplished and through whom this victory is won.

I have reflected often on a specific proverb that I wanted to share today.

It is Proverbs 2131, and it says, The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.

Today is living proof of that truth.

This moment is not mine alone.

It belongs to an extraordinary community of people who believed in a vision for Mesa and chose to step forward with conviction and courage.

Before I go any further, though, I'd like to invite everyone in this room to please take a moment for which I will stay quiet and look around the room.

Look around.

Look at all the people around you.

Look at the officers.

Thank you for serving.

Every person that is present here, whether you came because you believe in your own future, or because you believe in the future of your families, your neighbors, and our city, you stand here for a fundamental reason.

You believe in life.

You believe in the value of it, you believe in the dignity of it, and the responsibility that comes with stewarding life.

And because of that belief, you chose to take a stand.

You chose to work for a change that aligns with what you know to be good, true, and right.

That conviction alone is powerful.

And it is a privilege to stand among people who care so deeply and share it with me.

To the volunteers from every corner of Mesa, to those from the East Valley legislative districts, to the incredible men and women of Turning Point Action, to the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, the Center for Arizona Policy, I thank you.

Thank you for your dedication, your encouragement, and your tireless effort, which made this victory possible.

More than a thousand unpaid local volunteers invested their time, their energy, and their hearts into this campaign.

Over a thousand.

Many of you knocked on doors for the first time in your life.

You stepped outside of your comfort zones.

You overcame uncertainty and fear, and doing so all because you believed it was the right thing to do.

Your courage is inspiring, and may it continue to inspire those who might want to do this for the first time in the near future.

Your passion for this election demonstrated what a free people can accomplish when they stand together and they act on principle.

As I begin this service, my vision is clear.

It is to establish strong, accountable representation for the general welfare of our district, District 2, and to be a steward of both our finances and our community, and to pursue responsibility that produces a real tangible result.

But this is more than a role.

This is an act of public service, a commitment to servant leadership.

It is a responsibility that does not demand its own way, whether we agree or not.

But it st instead it seeks what is right, what is just, and what truly serves the people of Mesa.

My commitment is to work towards peace and prosperity and stability for the residents and the businesses of our district and our great city of Mesa, Arizona.

This is the standard I will hold myself to every day.

The victory reflects the strength of a community that loves truth, values freedom, and is ready to take responsibility for its future.

I am honored to serve you, to represent you, and to work tirelessly to honor the trust that you have placed in me.

And before I end this, I would like to give a special word of thanks to my wonderful husband, Stephen Taylor.

I love you.

He is the pillar that has held me so high in all of this, and I have done an insurmountable thing in the eyes of many because I have been gifted with a husband who has supported me so lovingly.

So I thank you and I praise God for you.
