Um, we're gonna go ahead and open up with open public opening public comment.

Good afternoon, Mayor Council, Mike Benham.

Um, how are we making out with the kids with the helmets on the scooters and the electric bikes?

Um, I go up to the assisted living to see my friend Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and we see the same kids zooming down Hafen, no helmet.

And a doctor in Las Vegas said he's seeing more kids coming in with serious injuries off the bikes and the scooters.

So I don't know what we can do, but we have to do something before we lose a kid.

We don't want to see a kid get hit by a car, and you know, they don't even go in a straight line, they're like all over the place.

And uh I know everybody loves Debbie, but as I told you, I met with the attorney general, and I had a text from him inviting me to his special event down in Las Vegas.

Um, I just I had I think that you guys have misunderstood.

You guys keep asking me for the attorney letter.

The attorney has already sent you a letter, but I am brief bringing everything that he sent to you so that you have it for the the July 1st letter.

There's a whole thing on here that was done.

I don't know if you saw it, but there is a whole letter from the attorney spelling everything out, and then I've added another response on there because a lot of things have changed since July.

Yeah, this this will kind of give you this will give you more of the updated and the fact that they just filed for summary judgment that were not under the NRS 116s that we're not a legal condominium association, which we knew all along.

So um that's the Red Hills applied for that summary judgment, so we don't fall under those codes anymore.

And depending on the outcome of that motion, I think a lot of us will have some guidance.

So I think that I think there'll be a lot that'll be done, but I just wanted you to have the records just so I'll bring them to you, but um, just so you had it again.

So um and the 2011 recording.

Um, I just need clarification if the city has very has done anything based on that recording.

So that's what I'm looking for.

I would like to bring back on the agenda for the next council meeting item number 7.2 from the October, uh the first one in October, which is consideration conditional use permit uh for to operate a vacation home at 950 Santa Fe Drive, and also consideration of uh conditional use permit for 697 the Lita Lane as a vacation rental home.

So we're we're nearing completion of a contract for the sale of 800 Horizon Boulevard.

This has already been in front of the council, so we just want to bring it back now with the actual contract.

It's not all the way done, but I think we'll have it done by the 18th.

And so I'd like to at least get a placeholder for that.

So it's just the adoption of a resolution for the sale of 800 Horizon Boulevard.

Um Travis, you want to give us an update on yes, thank you.

Mayor Council.

Uh a couple items.

Um the ADA project continues very well.

Uh you'll see the cones, they're the ones uh in between, say the movie theater.

I think they were cleaning that up more down toward Grapevine up to um in front of City Hall.

That uh project is moving very well very fast and ahead of schedule.

But it is uh we have noticed there's a few um things that we're working on there, but it is moving very well very quickly.

Again, I want to thank the public for their patience in that.

Um so that's working well.

The mill and fill project, uh, they will start the waterline portion of that next week, November 10th.

So that will start down uh their first laterals that they'll be replacing are down towards the Casablanca, and they'll be working in their way from the west to the east.

Then the actual mill and fill portion of that will begin December 1st or December 8th.

It all depends on how far that waterline portion of that project goes.

Um they do believe that they'll be able to get all of that down at the Casablanca to say desert rows.

We're gonna try to work this in three sections, so we're not um have the whole thing opened up, but they believe that they'll have that whole section done in the month of December, which is huge.

So we'll have you know a bunch going on there, but again, I've talked with all of the um or sent out the letter showing that each business would only be out of um their access maximum of one day during those uh the mill portion, and as soon as we get going into that, that's when I will be sending out the weekly emails to the individuals so they'll know when the milling machine is gonna be in front of theirs.

So the waterline portion, November 10th, the mill portion December 1st or December 8th, um, going through there.

Um we do have for the parade on the 8th, all of the cones will be pulled off, so we won't have to worry about that.

Um the animal shelter projects going very well.

We're over 70 percent on that project.

Um fire station again also is going great.

Um the justice facility continues.

We believe that we'll be able to move the transfer the evidence from the old location to the new evidence building next week, or I'm sorry, uh not next week, but the following week, which is a big step, and then we'll just have the that main portion.

We did have a very successful bid today on the Canyon Crest and uh Horizon project, which will come before you on the 18th.

I'm excited about that.

Hafen and Levitt Lane.

A lot of people are anxious about that.

They have started the removal of material out there last week.

That work is starting to go.

And the last one, you'll see a lot of cones on Falcon Ridge Parkway as well, going from flat top down to Hardy Way, because they need to take the fiber optic line from that traffic signal down to the new traffic signal location at Hardy Way.

So there's a lot going on, but it is being managed and um, but I do appreciate again all the patience of the public through this time.

Travis, when are they going to start actually installing the pedestals for the new street lights up there?

So they just barely started work this week.

That will be I have a schedule down at my office.

I'll I will bring that next week so that I can give those, but it doesn't look like the actual pedestals will be as they're raising the mast arms, probably until late February, March.

Um is what the schedule is showing.

But it is a lot.

So they've got those.

We ordered all of the equipment, and we're supplying the all of the computer equipment for the signals and all that as owner supplied materials.

So this one should go quicker.

If you remember, it's been taking nine to ten months on these.

And this one, shoot, we're looking at what four, five.

So uh, or I'm sorry, uh, we're in November, so like six months so for a finished product.

Um, so it's good it it is shortened in that aspect.
