Um, as the redevelopment agency director, I wanted to give you an update on the new RDA 2.0 and how much money is in there.

Um as of December through December, it was 2,914,69 and 26 cents.

Less encumbrances uh of 128,590 for the demolition, 17,613 or the rebuild to the house, and that's for the condor straight home.

Um anyway, resulting in about 2.8 million dollars.

So on the next agenda item regarding the pool items.

So that'll bring us down to about two and a half million dollars.

So I just wanted to give you an update on where we stand.

Uh so we're requesting from the RDA funding the 300 plus thousand dollars for we have that ongoing pool project, which they just filled the pool uh this last week.

We're really close to finishing that.

We have a health inspection uh first week of February to try to finish that project off.

What this consists of is replacing the heaters for the outdoor pool, taking out the grass and trees to keep the debris from in the uh falling in the new pool area and putting big large shade structures for more shade areas for families.

Um, and that kind of coexists with just trying to keep everything up to date as far as the new drains, pumps, controllers, all that, just trying to keep it clean.

So that's the request of the 300,000 plus for the RDA.

You're gonna do some of the removal work and stuff yourself because that seems pretty cheap.

So in-house with our parks department, we're gonna go in there and try to remove some of the grass and trees.

And part of that also is refinishing the slide that's coming down and the stairwell in that packet.

Uh, structurally, it just needs to be all redone.

And so we're trying to just when they when they peel that out back, sandblast it.

If there's any structural in there that we need to touch up, there is a contingency in there just in case.

So we're gonna just come off the existing shade structures, this concrete pad is right there.

We're gonna extend that concrete out to that brick wall uh with about 40 foot by 60 foot shade structures that is gonna it's really gonna shade probably right around 70 percent of that with a with a large shade structure on both up and bottom.

Part of the purpose of removing the trees and grasses, one, we're gonna save water, two, we don't have to maintain it every every week.

And three, the debris that falls in the pool that clogs up all the the filters and everything.

We're trying to keep that away.

Uh so spending the amount of money we did currently.

Uh, we're just trying to keep it cleaner and a little bit more efficient.

Are you gonna add any decor like fake palm trees or metal sculptures or anything, just so it has a little bit not like it's all concrete?

Uh all concrete with the shade structure, yes.

That also falls in that same funding with new chairs, new uh lounge chairs, etc.

A lot of the chairs we've had we've retrieved from I think it was Sun City at one point.

So they've already been used, we got them, and now they're just straps are all falling apart.

Weather, you know, takes a big toll on those, but that's also part of the funding as well.
