Mesquite Technical Review Meeting - March 17, 2026

Action Items
- Councilman Wanless made a motion to introduce a bill amending the Mesquite Municipal Code to add e-bike and e-scooter regulations. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Fielding. The motion passed unanimously (voice vote: all in favor).
- Councilman Randy requested the addition of a presentation for the Interact Local Kids Group to the next council meeting, to issue a certificate of appreciation for their volunteer service (park cleanups, etc.). The request was accepted without a formal motion.

Ready? Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to the Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 uh technical review meeting for the city of Musquite. It is 2 32. We're gonna get started. We're gonna start off with uh opening public comment. Okay, seeing no one come forward, we'll let start on our work session. Um Rebecca, you have something to add for Adam. Yeah, um Adam is online, but he would like to add on the consideration of the introduction of the bill amending the Mesquite Municipal Code to add e-bikes and e-scooter regulations. Okay, Councilman Wanless, did you have a question? Or no, but I I will make a motion on that if no one else has one. Okay, let me do we have any public comment on adding the uh e-bike uh code section, is that what we call it? Amendment okay, councilman wandless. Make a motion to add the bike scooter and bike presentation or motion towards an ordinance. Okay, councilwoman Fielding. I'll second that. Okay, call for the vote. Parish eye, and that's all. And Randy, you have something to add as well? Uh just want to add on to council meeting next week for the uh presentation of the Interact Local Kids Group. Uh they do a lot of service for us, they go around cleanup parks, uh, and it's ran through uh Darley Monte and Amy Marshall. But if I could just add that for a certificate appreciation to all the kids. Thank you. Ceremonial probably. It's up to you. Either way, I'm good. So that's good. And we don't need to even have a motion on that. Okay. Sounds good. Thanks, Randy. Um, anybody else have anything to add? Or anything to subtract? We're always happy to have subtract things. I know all of you have seen emails on this, but I just want to remind you or anyone who's watching this that we're going to have an unveiling of the first iron cactus out in front of City Hall tomorrow at noon. And if any of you would like to see what that looks like, I'd love to have you come out and be there for the iron cactus unveiling. Excellent.
