Free B currently operates microtransit services in 24 of the 34 cities that make up Miami Dade County and across seven other counties, including Broward, Monroe, Palm Beach, Seminole, Pinellas, Manatee, and Orange.

Freebies fleet includes over 350 vehicles statewide, with more than 120 deployed here in Miami Dade County.

Regarding item 3G, we respectfully recommend that the county remove the north and northeast MetroConnect zones, specifically Aventura and North Miami Beach.

These are not underserved areas.

Freebie is already operating in both cities with 13 vehicles in Aventura, 12 vehicles in North Miami Beach.

Metro Connect's presence in these zones duplicate services that are already operating, creating inefficiency and confusion for riders.

Metro Connect's hourly rate is $61.81.

Freebies hourly rate ranges from $36.50 to 42.25 cents without fares.

Eliminating just these two overlapping zones will save the county approximately 2.06 million over the term of this extension.
