The Board of City Service Commissioners of Milwaukee met virtually on May 19, 2026, at 2:30 PM, with President Frank Bock, Vice President Marilyn Miller, and Commissioner Steve Smith present; Commissioners Janet Cleary and Heidi Wick Spoerl were excused. Welcome. My name is Frank Bach and I serve as president of the Board of City Service Commissioners. I've been informed that both recording systems are operational. The first item on today's agenda is a call to order. This May 19th meeting of the Board of City Service Commissioners is called to order. The next item is the roll call. Would the executive secretary please call the roll? Vice President Miller. Present. Commissioner Cleary. Excused. Is excused. Commissioner Smith. Present. Commissioner Wixborough. Excused. And President Bach. Present. Represent. Thank you. Next item, please. Item number three is file number 260058. Communication for the approval of the May 5th, 2026 meeting minutes. Do commissioners have any comments or questions concerning the proposed minutes. I do not. I move approval. Because we are limited to we have only three members present today, and because Commissioner Miller was not present for that meeting. I will second the uh the request concerning the proposed minutes. It's been moved and seconded to approve the proposed minutes of the May 5th meeting. I'll pull the commissioners. Commissioner Smith. Yes. And I vote yes. The minutes are approved as submitted. Next item, please. Item number four, file number two six zero zero five nine. Communication for the approval of classification reports as submitted. Okay. Good afternoon, Commissioner. Sarah Since Give Compensation Services. We have one report for you today. This report is a request from the Department of Public Works to study various dispatch positions within Fleet Operations and Milwaukee Waterworks. This report recommends the following in DPW operations fleet services, reallocating one vacant fleet operations manager from P range 1HX to pay range 1JX with a recruitment rate of 105,903. Reclassifying one vacant program assistant three as a public works dispatcher lead and placing it in P range 2GN with recruitment rate of $66,304. Reclassifying two positions of communications assistant four, one filled and one vacant position of Program Assistant 3, and one vacant position of communications assistant three as public works dispatcher two and placing in P range 5JN with a recruitment rate of $60,973. And having an underfill title classified as Public Works Dispatcher 1 and placing in pay range 5IN with a recruitment rate of 58,014. In DBW Waterworks, uh the I'm sorry, the recommendation is to reclassify six positions of communications assistant five in pay range six MN as a public works dispatcher two and pay range 5JN with a recruitment rate of $60,773. And then reclassifying four positions of communication assistant three in P range 6KN as a public works dispatch one in PRH 5IN with a recruitment rate of $58,014.
