Good morning. I like to call this public works committee a meeting to order. I am chairwoman Alderwoman Mulala A. Cogs, we are joined to my right by Vice Chair Alderman Lamont West Morning to his right. We are joined by Alderman by Balming. Um to his right, we are joined by DPW infrastructure. Um to my left, we are joined by um staff assistant Carmen Rowman to her left. We are joined by Alderman Alex Brower. To his left, we are joined by Alderman Larissa Taylor. Item number one, file number two, five one eight seven nine resolution relating to approving the levying of assessments and construction of accessible public improvement projects at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes. Good morning. Holly Rutenbeck with DPW. I will be advising on the special assessment process process and project details. For those projects approved this morning, a bill will be sent to each property owner sometime after completion of the work. Within 45 days upon receipt of the bill, the full amount may be paid without interest. If the bill is not paid within the 45-day grace period, a charge of 8.5% simple interest per year will be added. If the assessment is at least 125 dollars, the assessment can be paid over a period of 10 years on the tax roll at 8.5% interest. For those projects approved with late billing, a bill will not be sent before January 1st, 2028. An official notice of public hearing was sent to all impacted property owners in relation to the projects that are on this public hearing. The first item, second in the second aldermanic district. Alley between West Vrowns Avenue, West Hope Avenue, North 62nd Street, North 63rd Street, concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting side sidewalk and driveway approaches, grading, storm drainage facilities, and permeable pavement as necessary. Sir anyone here to provide testimony on this item. Out of 27 impacted properties, all responses were in favor, and the alderman supports the project. Are there any objections to that motion? In the sixth Aldermanic district, alley between West Hopkins Street, West Townsend Street, North 22nd Street, North 23rd Street, concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting walk and driveway approaches, grading, storm drainage facilities, and permeable pavement as necessary. In the 8th Aldermanic District, alley between West Greenfield Avenue, West Orchard Street, South 22nd Street, South 23rd Street, Concrete Alley Pavement Reconstruction, replace some abutting walk and driveway approaches, grading, storm drainage facilities, and permeable pavement as necessary. And Patty's here from the Alder Woman's office. We only received one postcard back, and it was opposed, but was from a landlord who doesn't live on the block. And Joe Castor was concerned he might show up, so she asked me to come and say she's in full support. Thank you. Alderman Brouwer would move adoption. Are there any objections to that motion? I'll just to just some questions that we've talked about some of these things at this committee, but I just refresh my memory. Um property owners, um, adjacent property owners pay 50% of the cost. Is that is that correct? That is correct, but they do not pay for any of the green infrastructure. We do receive a grant from the Milwaukee Metropolitan's Ridge District, so that does not impact their assessment cost.
