The Fire and Police Commission (FPC) held an executive session on April 16, 2026, at 5:03 PM in City Hall, Room 301-B, to consider a closed-session resolution regarding the promotion of a candidate to the position of Battalion Chief. The meeting was called to order by Chair Miriam Horwitz, with 8 commissioners present and one excused. No public comments or discussion items were taken up in open session; the sole action was a unanimous vote to adjourn into closed session.
All right, we're ready. Okay, I think don't forget about your mic. Okay. Um this is the April sixteenth, twenty twenty-six executive meeting of the fire and police commission. Present are Commissioners Burgos, Fung, Ramey, Schneider, Spence, Spencer, World Patterson, and myself, Commissioner Horwitz. Commissioner Evans is excused. Also present our FPC Executive Director Leon Todd and Deputy Director Jay Poussett. The board may receive a motion to convene in closed session pursuant to section nineteen point eighty-five sub one sub C of the Wisconsin statutes to consider a promotion to the battalion chief position. Following the executive meeting, the board may then reconvene in open session during the regular meeting concerning these items. All in favor, please signify by saying aye. Any I'm posed?
