Our first proclamation is in observance of Deputy Chief James Dunkelberger Day, and I would invite Chief Delrish Moss, Deputy Chief Dunkel Dunkelberger, and guests to come forward.

Whereas James Jim Dunkelberger, born in Kansas City, Missouri, began his distinguished career with the Miramar Police Department in 1989 as a police explorer and re after relocating to Miramar in 1979.

Whereas throughout his career, Jim Dunkelberger has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication, excelling in roles such as field training officer, community resource officer, and executive explore advisor.

And whereas promoted to police sergeant in 2004, Jim Dunkelberger effectively led multiple units, including the Internal Affairs Unit, and was further elevated to police captain in 2012, where he oversaw key divisions and served as executive officer from 2015.

And whereas in 2016, Jim Dunkelberger was promoted to major of the Special Operations Bureau, where he managed critical units and spearheaded essential projects, including the Body Warren Camera Program and the design of historic Miramar Public Safety Complex.

And whereas promoted to Deputy Chief in 2022, Jim Dunkelberger played a pivotal role in the pre-design of the future real-time crime center and the re and revitalization of the police West Station.

And whereas Jim Dunkelberger is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and numerous other prestigious leadership programs and has earned widespread recognition for his outstanding service to the community.

And whereas Jim Dunkelberger has earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in public administration from Barrie University and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in organization leadership, organizational learning and leadership with a specialization in human resources development.

Um we definitely made a difference and an impact in our community, and my heart will always be with with Miramar.

So um I want to thank also the other department directors that uh I worked with and who who also taught me and gave me insight to uh their divisions.

Whereas the South Central Southeast Focal Point administered by the City of Miramar participates in National Senior Center Month.

And whereas the South Central Southeast Focal Point powers the connections seniors have with each other through peer support, caregiver support groups, and daily activities at the senior centers.

And we're asked through a wide array of health and wellness offerings.

And we're as the South Central, Southeast Focal Point powers connections to the community by providing daily transportation.

Trips include rides to and from Senior Center, grocery shopping, physician and pharmacy visits, evening and weekend outings.

All trips keep seniors connected and are absolutely free.
