I have an update if the council would like to hear them.

Okay, for the first one at 962 Government Street, we have good news.

The property owner did get a permit.

It's a repair permit.

So I recommend that we table this application.

Regretfully, the 1551 Kellogg Street is not the same.

We held this over 60 days, and the owner has not received a repair permit at this time and he's not begun on-site renovations.

So we need to move forward on this.

I would recommend that we do move forward for a declaration.

Um and then the last one, this one's a unique one.

It's a holdover for fixed cost.

Um at this point, municipal enforcement has met with the property owner, and there was some work that he did.

Um, just as a brief explanation.

When the city declared it a public nuisance, it was one complete structure.

It was failing.

There was defects, and we did declare it.

However, after the declaration, it burned.

The owner decided to hire a contractor, a tree trimming contractor, which we have the copy of the invoice, did some work for approximately $1,800 and removed the burned debris only.

Regretfully, he left the foundation of the house in one of the rooms that was not burned.

When the city went out and um request for quotes, our scope was only for the foundation and the remaining debris that was not burned.

And that's why we have a very low fixed cost resolution before council for the work that we actually performed.

And that's where the confusion was when we had a chance to speak with the owner.

And he did confirm that he did leave some debris behind, and that is what's before the council today to fix those costs of the foundation and the remaining debris and to level the site with uh grass seed.

Does he understand that?

He understands it, but he may be at the meeting this morning just to um give his side.

So this is uh the naturally mobile campaign.

It's uh funded through the Gulf Coast Environmental Equity Center.

It's a grant for 145,000 dollars.

It's um it's education campaign to teach private property owners how to implement green infrastructure on their property.

It's uh another method to um for stormwater management.

Okay, is this just a yearly or it's uh it's a one-time contract one time to push the initiative, so it's gonna be um engaging y'all's districts uh one to two times at least throughout the campaign.

So we'll be coordinating with y'all on how to uh um on educate the the private property owners on how to retain stormwater and to help mitigate some of the problems that we're having.
