- CIP Resolution (contract renewal): Councilman Reynolds questioned the usefulness of a contract (previously let in 2023 and 2024) for work with public boards, noting lack of work product. The administration defended the contractor (Ms. Minnekin), citing her international reputation and positive impacts on board orientations and improvements. This is the pre-meeting of the Mobile City Council Tuesday, August the 4th. We have approval of minutes from July the 28th. Everybody okay. Appeals, we have requests for wave of the noise ordinance on October the 24th on South Sage Avenue from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. September the 5th through the 7th on Burton Wood Drive from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. And I need to change that to 9 p.m. Okay. Public hearing today is the public hearing to fix the cost of demolition of structures at 1910 Illine Street, 1255 Brussels Street, and 1314 Um PCAN Street. Any problems? Everybody? Okay. Oh yes. Um, I don't know why we're doing it. Oh, no, we're not there. Wait, wait, wait. We're on ordinance. No, no, no. We're ordinances held over. Uh well that thought. Um this is 07-033. Sorry, I had to walk out of the um so I mean this this needs to go to committee, I think, and um I believe you agree, uh, Madam Vice President. My only concern is that we've got the budget coming out. When we're supposed to receive the budget. 21st. Yeah, I don't I hate to intermingle you know, a controversial animal ordinance uh with our budget discussion, but you know, I guess we we are where we're at, but if I mean we discussed the 18th possibly being a committee. Yeah, um if this has no impact on the budget other than with increasing fines, um we can lay it over till the 20. Let's see. Fifth, hold a committee meeting on the 18th. If there is no rush on this one way or the other, if if y'all want to lay this over until after the budget, we could do that. I I don't know. I'll say let's let's see how the committee goes, and then we can make a decision after that. Okay, well, let's like for now.
